JMT provided structural steel detailing services for Project Redeemer, Hanwha Qcells' state-of-the-art solar manufacturing facility in Cartersville, Georgia. Encompassing approximately 2.4 million square feet, the project represents one of the largest and most advanced solar manufacturing facilities ever constructed in the United States and serves as a cornerstone of America's growing clean-energy manufacturing sector.
Designed as a fully integrated manufacturing campus, the facility consolidates the production of solar ingots, wafers, photovoltaic cells, and finished solar modules within a single operation. The scale and complexity of the project required extensive coordination among structural, architectural, process, and MEP disciplines to support highly specialized manufacturing equipment and critical production infrastructure.
As the detailing partner, JMT developed comprehensive 3D steel models and fabrication-ready detailing for the facility's expansive structural steel systems. The project demanded precise coordination to support large manufacturing spaces, equipment-intensive production areas, utility distribution systems, and phased construction activities across the campus. Through advanced BIM workflows and proactive coordination efforts, JMT helped streamline fabrication, improve constructability, and minimize field conflicts throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful delivery of Project Redeemer contributes to the expansion of domestic renewable energy manufacturing and supports Hanwha Qcells' vision of a fully integrated U.S.-based solar supply chain.
