JMT provided structural steel detailing services for the LEGO Group's state-of-the-art manufacturing campus in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Located within Meadowville Technology Park, the project represents one of the largest industrial developments in the Commonwealth of Virginia and serves as LEGO's first U.S.-based manufacturing facility.

Spanning approximately 1.7 million square feet across multiple production, processing, packaging, warehousing, and office buildings, the campus was designed to support LEGO's long-term growth strategy throughout North America while significantly reducing supply chain distances and enhancing manufacturing capacity.

As the detailing partner, JMT developed comprehensive structural steel models and fabrication-ready detailing packages supporting the facility's expansive manufacturing and logistics operations. The project's scale and complexity required extensive BIM-based coordination among structural, architectural, process, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to accommodate advanced production equipment, automated material handling systems, and large clear-span industrial spaces.

Through proactive coordination, clash detection, and constructability-focused detailing, JMT helped facilitate efficient fabrication and field erection while supporting aggressive construction schedules and high-performance facility requirements. The project demanded precise integration of structural systems across multiple interconnected buildings while maintaining flexibility for future operational growth.

When complete, the facility will employ more than 1,700 people and serve as a cornerstone of LEGO's North American manufacturing network, supporting the production and distribution of LEGO products throughout the region.
