The Ohio State University Arts District is a major academic and performing arts development located at the prominent campus gateway at 15th Avenue and High Street in Columbus, Ohio. The project consolidates and expands Ohio State’s arts programs into a cohesive district anchored by the Timashev Family Music Building and a new Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts Building, creating a vibrant academic and public‑facing arts environment at the intersection of campus and city.

From a construction perspective, the Arts District represents a highly complex institutional project integrating specialized performance venues, acoustically sensitive spaces, and advanced instructional environments within a dense urban campus setting. The work includes new multi‑story construction, selective renovation and expansion of existing facilities, and significant pedestrian and streetscape enhancements. The buildings house recital halls, multiple theater configurations, film production and sound stages, rehearsal spaces, classrooms, and shared public spaces, all requiring precise coordination of structure, vibration control, building systems, and finishes to meet rigorous acoustic and performance criteria.
