JMT provided structural steel detailing services for the expansion of Hankook Tire Manufacturing Tennessee, one of the largest tire production facilities in North America. Located in Clarksville, Tennessee, the project significantly expands Hankook's U.S. manufacturing footprint and supports growing demand for passenger, light truck, and commercial truck tires throughout North America.

The multi-phase expansion adds approximately 2.2 million square feet of advanced manufacturing, storage, and support facilities to the existing campus. The project includes sophisticated production environments, automated material handling systems, utility infrastructure, equipment support structures, and a multi-story mixing building designed to accommodate complex tire manufacturing processes.

As the detailing partner, JMT developed comprehensive 3D structural steel models and fabrication-ready detailing packages to support the project's extensive steel requirements. The facility's scale and complexity required close coordination among structural, process, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and building systems.

Through BIM-driven coordination, constructability reviews, and proactive clash detection, JMT helped facilitate efficient fabrication and field erection while supporting aggressive construction schedules. The resulting expansion positions Hankook to more than double its domestic production capacity while establishing the company's first U.S.-based commercial truck tire manufacturing operation.
