JMT provided structural steel detailing services for the University of Wisconsin Football Performance Center, a state-of-the-art athletic training facility located adjacent to historic Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.

Developed as a cornerstone of Wisconsin Athletics' long-term facilities master plan, the multi-story performance center was designed to support every aspect of student-athlete development, including strength and conditioning, sports medicine, locker rooms, meeting spaces, coaching offices, and football operations. Connected to the existing McClain Center and Camp Randall Stadium complex, the facility enhances daily operations while providing student-athletes with a modern training environment.

The project required extensive structural steel coordination to integrate new construction with existing athletic facilities while maintaining campus operations. JMT developed comprehensive 3D steel models and fabrication-ready detailing packages to support construction sequencing, steel fabrication, and field erection. Through BIM-based coordination and close collaboration with project stakeholders, JMT helped ensure efficient integration of structural systems within the complex athletic campus environment.

The facility incorporates large open training areas, long-span structural elements, and architecturally exposed spaces that demanded a high level of detailing precision and interdisciplinary coordination. JMT's proactive approach to modeling and clash detection helped streamline construction and support project delivery objectives.

Today, the Football Performance Center serves as a premier collegiate athletics facility, supporting the continued success of Wisconsin Football while strengthening the university's position among the nation's leading athletic programs.
