The Blue Oval Battery Park is a joint partnership between SK Innovation and Ford Motor Company. The site consists of two Battery Plants each over 4 million square-feet in size connected by 2,845 feet of Utility Trestles, Various Pipe Racks, two Switch Houses a Safety Building and two Security Buildings. Heights range from a low point of 44’-0” to a high point of 102’-3 ½”. Each Battery Plant consisted of four Areas of construction. Module, Formation, Assembly and Electrode. In both Battery plants the Electrode Areas are two stories in height while the rest of the plant is 1 story.

The Delegated Design and Detailing work for the first Battery Plant started in early 2022 with the last of the Miscellaneous Steel Packages being completed in March of 2024. Happy customers, no back-charges and Accelerated Schedules highlight the success of this project.
