Ad Astra Phase I is a new STEM-focused educational facility being developed in Starbase, Texas, near SpaceX's Boca Chica operations. Designed to serve students from infancy through grade 12, the project supports the continued growth of the Starbase community and reflects a forward-looking approach to education centered on innovation, technology, and hands-on learning. The approximately 34,000-square-foot campus is envisioned as a key community asset within one of the nation's most dynamic aerospace and technology hubs.

JMT provided comprehensive engineering, detailing, and BIM services for the project, supporting the team through design development and construction planning. Services included design-assist support, structural analysis and design, structural and miscellaneous steel detailing, connection design, stair engineering, concrete and reinforcing steel detailing, and BIM management. Through close collaboration with project stakeholders, JMT helped enhance constructability, improve coordination across disciplines, and support efficient fabrication and construction of this innovative educational facility.
